IN IT TO WIN IT!
Toiletry Drive Team Challenge / Leader and Storyteller
This was a check written to North Fulton Community Charities from Allegis Group for $470, an addition to $470 worth of toiletry items donated from our team. I led the charge for our MarketSource Team Toiletry Drive Challenge in the Axalta program and helped the team win by tripling our donations. I also wrote the story for the corporate newsletter. Dig deeper into the story below.

PROJECTS
Portfolio of Work Below
Content, copy, and PR campaigns are my specialty.
TOILETRY TEAM DRIVE CHALLENGE
Campaign Team Leader and Story Writer
I managed the winning program for the Toiletry Drive Team Challenge campaign. I led it from start to finish and wrote a success story in our corporate newsletter. The goal was to have more items purchased than any other program in the building for North Fulton Community Charities. I decided to raise money versus supplies and took the cash to Costco to double our dollars. After that, I reached out to our parent company to ask them to match our donations, which they did. I had an assistant collect the money daily from our team and helped her write the communications to keep the momentum going. We gave credit to each person who donated with their name and amount on a fake dollar bill with toilet paper (for the toilet-try drive) which was posted next to a donations meter. The meter measured how close we were to meeting our goal. We surpassed our goal. I then wrote the success story for the corporate newsletter. Photos of the project with team quotes are included in the photo gallery below.
MOVEMBER CHALLENGE
Creative Team Engagement and Success
This is a communications department project that I was asked to create for the Movember Challenge. We needed more engagement in each program to raise funds for this awareness campaign. I bought a bag full of different party selfie- sticks to use for photos and had the entire team participate in spreading the awareness to all of the programs. It was added to the corporate newsletter.
HANDS ACROSS ATLANTA MARKETING CAMPAIGN
A Day with Walter Short Video
The story behind the video:
I saw a need to create a more intimate and greater emotional impact with the volunteer community. I offered my idea to create a documentary about a homeless man on the street by taking him out to lunch and interviewing him. The idea grew and the team wanted to buy him clothes as well. I never knew how touching this experience would be, but it attracted such a huge Facebook following and changed my life forever. (I am interviewing him in voice in the back ground).
FREELANCE WRITING
Agency and industry writing experience
I wrote ghostwritten articles for a PR and Marketing agency with clients in the hotel, digital marketing, and health industry. I found that I enjoyed writing about these topics and that I could impress agency owners with my work as well. A letter of recommendation is posted on my LinkedIn profile or is available upon request.
DIGITAL CONTENT
I have a passion for healthy and thriving communities. You will see this in the photo album below. I have volunteered for corporate, the homeless, and victims in the sex trafficking industry.
The first set of photos are social media posts that I created for the nonprofit organization, She Is Safe, as a volunteer online community manager.
The @slaverynomore photos are examples that I created in class to show pictures with words and action.
The #myfreedom day is a text-to-picture photo that I created in social media for the nonprofit I volunteered for, called She Is Safe.
"The Mo Movement" was a campaign that I volunteered with at MarketSource to create greater engagement within the company. With the same company, I created the next few slides for the "Toiletry Drive Team Challenge" that I created and led with our Axalta program.
Following the company photographs are pictures taken by a volunteer that worked with us on the "Day with Walter" campaign with Hands Across Atlanta. I was the innovator and interviewer in that campaign and I am glad to share the story with you.
The last photo is an article I wrote in 2011 (the year I earned my Associate in Arts), published in the Greensboro Herald for Cheerful Hearts Ministry in Georgia.
